The society’s next major conference, ECAP11, will take place in Vienna in 2023.
For many years now, the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich has endeavored to help students successfully juggle their family life, academic studies, and professional career. This is because in a family-friendly environment, looking after children will not be a hindrance to a professional career; it is an important social responsibility which deserves respect and support.
With regard to advice and support in finding appropriate childcare, the LMU collaborates with pme Familienservice GmbH, a service provider which operates on a national scale in Germany. Liaising closely with this company, childcare services can be tailored to individual requirements, enabling parents to reconcile career requirements with family life.
Childcare can be provided during any congresses and conferences organized by LMU departments. Here, children of participants at such events are looked after on the LMU premises by professional nursery nurses and teachers. This service is geared not only towards children of LMU employees, but also to those of external guests at such events. Group childcare is provided when at least 5 children require supervision. The number of nursery nurses assigned to the group depends on the number and age of the children, as well as on the age mix.
We are very grateful for the support of LMU Munich, who does not charge for this service and through which we are able to get PME Family Service as partner company. PME provides qualified childcare service, designed for our needs at a room at LMU’s main building and includes food and different activities to suit all ages.
In order to register, please write a message to email@example.com as soon as possible. Please note that we can only offer this service if we get a minimum of five children to care for.

We are happy to announce that ESAP has a new website. This website will be continuously updated and extended in the coming weeks and months, so please stay tuned. We would like to thank Carlo Penco, who created the previous webpage of ESAP in 1999 and maintained it since then, for his initiative and hard work. We would also like to thank Massimiliano Vignolo who has been taking care of the events-part of the ESAP webpage for many years and who keeps on providing this service to the ESAP community. ESAP will also keep on running the mailing list ESAP-news which is moderated by Nikoletta Nemesi. Many thanks!
